How Pet Signal Guide handles site data, consent choices, email, and the limited analytics setup.

Analytics and consent choices

Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is configured through Site Kit for limited measurement. The Statistics choice in the consent banner controls consent for analytics storage. You can deny optional cookies or change your choice through Manage consent.

Limited measurement setup

The GA4 stream is configured for page views and outbound clicks only. Google Signals, Google Ads, ad personalization, and Site Kit plugin conversion tracking are off.

Email-only contact

Pet Signal Guide has no public contact form or newsletter signup. The reader contact route is contact@petsignalguide.com.

Analytics, cookies, and consent

When collection is enabled, Google Analytics 4 runs through the existing Google Site Kit connection. The configured measurement is limited to page views and outbound clicks. Google documents that its default Analytics implementation can process event and session information, page details such as page location and referrer, browser and device information, and approximate location. An outbound-click event may include the destination link. Pet Signal Guide has not configured form contents, email messages, pet-health details, or precise pet-location fields as analytics events.

The current GA4 property retention settings are two months for event data and fourteen months for user-related data. Those settings describe GA4 retention only; they do not define retention for hosting, security, or other Google services. See Google’s Privacy Policy for Google’s handling of information.

Complianz provides a consent banner with Accept, Deny, and View preferences, including a Statistics category. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals are respected by the configured consent system. Site Kit Consent Mode communicates those choices to the Google tag. Analytics storage is denied worldwide until Statistics consent is granted. Choosing Deny disables Analytics storage; cookies from an earlier visit can remain in your browser until they expire or you delete them. Cookieless measurement and consent signals may still be sent to Google when Statistics is denied. Use Manage consent to review or change your choice. Optional analytics consent is not required to use this site.

Site delivery and technical information

Pet Signal Guide is publicly available and indexable. The hosting platform and security, caching, or performance tools may process ordinary technical information such as browser details, request data, IP addresses, and server or cache logs to deliver and protect the site. Pet Signal Guide does not independently define every infrastructure log or retention period; those details depend on the current hosting and service configuration.

Email contact

If you email Pet Signal Guide, your email address and message content are used to understand and respond to your request. Email and hosting providers may process that message while delivering the service.

Do not send private pet-location data, account credentials, payment information, medical records, or other sensitive personal information by email.
