Multi-pet access: one tag per feeder is not the same as a splitter
PETLIBRO’s retained architecture binds one dedicated tag to one feeder for one pet. One dedicated tag and feeder per pet is a different architecture from dividing one nonselective output between two bowls.

A schedule or app record can describe a device event, but neither feeder alone establishes which pet ate or how much it consumed.
Power, internet, and backup behavior
Both products document battery-backup options using D cells that are not included. PLAF301 uses three; PetSafe uses four. Stored schedules may continue under documented outage conditions, but remote functions and alerts can fail, so both paths require a human fallback.
Cleaning and maintenance are device-specific
